In 2007 Adopt a Pig sponsored a “Cancer Free Day” for patients and their families to attend a Philadelphia Soul game. All the kids, their family members and in some cases their friends were treated to a spectacular event at the Wachovia Center. Each guest received a catered lunch and a visit from the players and cheerleaders. They also had a tour of the field and met the owners of the team. All the kids also had their picture taken on the field with Jon Bon Jovi and Ron Jaworski. The Philadelphia Soul won that day and went on to be crowned champions that season. Though the soul organization is no longer operating the children that attended that day will never forget their experience and all will remember that championship season.
